Why a remake exists
The original Soul Virtues Extractor by Jaden (undertale.jadenthejaded.uk) is the quiz the fandom grew up comparing results on. This project exists as a tribute to it: the same seven-virtue scoring model, every one of the 66 classic questions rewritten in our own words, and a faster, mobile-first run with a shareable soul card at the end.
soulvirtues.com takes a different path: rather than the original's question set, it adapts items from the IPIP (International Personality Item Pool), a public-domain psychometric item bank, and maps them onto the seven souls. That makes it a personality-inventory adaptation rather than a run of the classic quiz — a different question source with a different scoring heritage.
Whichever version you take, the seven souls themselves come from Undertale's Ball Game in Snowdin, which names six traits and famously refuses to name the red one. Our seven soul pages document those canon sources, with interpretation clearly labeled.
FAQ
Is SoulVirtues the same quiz as the original Soul Virtues Extractor?
It is a remake, not a rehost. The seven-virtue scoring model mirrors the original's weight matrix as a functional mechanism, so results are comparable — but all 66 classic question texts were rewritten 1:1 in our own words, and 6 extended tie-breaker questions were added.
Is this site affiliated with Jaden, Toby Fox, or soulvirtues.com?
No. SoulVirtues is an unofficial fan-made project, not affiliated with or endorsed by Jaden, Toby Fox, or any other quiz site. Undertale and Deltarune are referenced descriptively; no game assets are used.
Why rewrite the questions instead of copying them?
Respect for the original author and for the game. The scoring model is a functional mechanism (mirroring it is what makes results comparable), but question text is creative work — so every question here is an original rewrite, and no Undertale game text is used either.
Does the quiz send my answers anywhere?
No. The quiz runs entirely in your browser; answers and progress live in localStorage on your device. Sharing a result link shares only the percentages encoded in the URL.
